1-year-old girl injured by flying glass during Bronx shooting
Police said the wounded toddler and man were innocent bystanders, and witnesses reported two suspects fleeing after the shooting.
A 1-year-old girl suffered minor injuries from flying glass on Monday when a gunman opened fire outside Los Munchies on Courtlandt Ave. in Melrose, striking a parked Honda Civic.
Separately, a 12-year-old girl was shot twice Monday evening on Tratman Ave. in the Westchester Square neighborhood near The Pearly Gates park, identified by police as an innocent bystander.
Witnesses reported two suspects between 15 and 18 fleeing on foot in all black. Neighbor Melanie Ortiz described the scene: "When I looked, they were throwing down guns on the floor."
Police are conducting a manhunt for the two suspects wearing all black, while both young victims are expected to survive at Montefiore Hospital, with the 12-year-old in serious condition.
