  • On Tuesday, Boeing delivered 57 jets in September, its highest monthly total this year, marking an 11.8% increase from the 51 aircraft delivered in August.
  • Boeing delivered 363 737 MAX jets through September, the program's highest output for the first nine months of a year, though CEO Kelly Ortberg noted that hitting 47 aircraft monthly has taken longer than expected.

  • Despite the production gains, Boeing remains behind European rival Airbus, which delivered 547 aircraft through September and recorded 1,174 gross orders in the first three quarters.
  • Boeing's commercial backlog grew to 6,371 aircraft by the end of September, up from 6,156 in August, and the planemaker is scheduled to report its third-quarter financial results on October 27, 2026.
