The PSOE finalises the candidacies of November 29 with several ministers among its members, while other members of the government of Spain have decided not to run. Jordi Hereu will head Barcelona and Arcadi Spain will take second place in Valencia, behind Pilar Bernabé. Instead, Luis Planas, Diana Morant, Óscar López and Ángel Víctor Torres will be off the lists, according to socialist sources consulted by EFE.
