Ravens get exciting news on fan favorite rookie WR's potential Week 6 return
The third-round rookie missed four games after wrist surgery and could be active Sunday against the Browns, NFL Network reported.
Baltimore Ravens rookie receiver Ja'Kobi Lane is expected to return to practice Wednesday, four weeks after wrist surgery, and is now eligible to rejoin the active roster.
Lane sustained the wrist injury during the Ravens' season-opening victory against the Indianapolis Colts, recording one catch for 11 yards before being placed on injured reserve September 16.
During the preseason, Lane emerged as a standout with a 16-yard touchdown catch against the Philadelphia Eagles, establishing himself as a potential WR2 option behind Pro Bowler Zay Flowers.
Head coach Jesse Minter said Lane has a chance to play Sunday when the Ravens visit the Cleveland Browns; he participated in Wednesday's practice alongside defensive end Trey Hendrickson.
Selected in the third round out of USC, Lane was previously projected as a top prospect; draft expert Jordan Reid continues to view him as highly talented despite teammate Makai Lemon winning the Biletnikoff Award.
