After a 10-year redemption arc, No Man's Sky is coming to the iPhone and iPad

The mobile port includes a decade of free updates, rebuilt touch controls and support for controllers, with multiplayer and settlements left out at launch.

  • Hello Games announced No Man's Sky will launch on iPhone and iPad on October 28, with preorders opening on Monday.
  • Development of the port began roughly three years ago, as the team at Hello Games undertook an "impossible" challenge to optimize the title for mobile devices.
  • The game runs on iPhone 11 and third-generation iPad Air and above, with the entire download fitting under 5 GB.
  • As part of its Indie Games Week, Apple is showcasing the release alongside other titles like Sifu and Little Kitty, Big City on the App Store.
  • While the port excludes multiplayer and settlements at launch, Sean Murray, managing director of Hello Games, said the studio will support iOS based on feedback and player numbers.
