Alibaba Launches Qwen N1 AI Glasses with Swappable Batteries, Starting at RMB 2,899
The smart glasses use Alibaba’s Qwen AI assistant and add a 50-megapixel camera, voice controls and payment features.
On Tuesday, Alibaba Group Holding launched its Qwen Glasses N1 smart glasses in China, starting at 2,999 yuan before discounts at an event in Hangzhou.
Like Meta Platforms, Alibaba aims to position smart glasses as a gateway to its artificial intelligence tools, competing with the industry leader's Ray-Ban glasses.
Equipped with a 50-megapixel camera, the glasses run Alibaba's Qwen AI assistant via bone-conduction microphones; the Pro edition, priced at 3,499 yuan, adds eye-tracking capabilities.
Alongside the glasses, Alibaba began selling Qwen Clip AI earbuds developed with Bose for 1,299 yuan across Taobao, Tmall, JD.com, and Douyin.
With 25 hours of standby time or nine hours of music playback, the glasses arrive as manufacturers in China navigate a September voluntary code requiring AI eyewear to display a light when recording.
